our story
The Hope Partnership program started in 2010 as a collaboration between the Oregon Youth Authority and the University of Hope Project, a non-profit working to engage community members in the lives of youth through arts and life skills instruction. Founded on the idea that everyone deserves the chance to engage in creative self-expression, the Hope Partnership strives to change the lives and minds of incarcerated youth by helping them identify as artists and leaders.

As a nonprofit organization the University of Hope works to engage youth in a wide variety of creative and educational workshops where they can build healthy relationships with peers and adults. We accomplish our mission with help from our wonderful volunteer instructors, donors, Board members and community partners. Please join us in our mission to foster positive youth development and life-long success through arts instruction, life skills training and community support services.
